Yes, Kendall, the lengthy comments section is indeed revealing, and rather depressing, in that it shows such a wild range of opinions, with relatively little in the way of evidence cited. Lots of heat and emotion, little light and reason.
I’m very glad that the US division of World Vision reversed itself so quickly, in 48 hours. But the fact that a premier evangelical parachurch social agency could make such a terrible mistake is a telling commentary on the times in which we live.

Unfortunately, I think they have “Susan G. Komen’ed” themselves. Immediate resignation and replacement of the board and executives is probably the only way they can attempt to repair the damage.
